rStheCon Recap

Hey friends! I wanted to share my recap from the rStheCon (RewardStyle) Conference. I can tell you that I was so nervous days leading up to this big conference. I know it sounds silly, but I had all these thoughts going through my head prior to the big event...Is this conference going to be worth me being away from my family or missing my son's soccer game? Are these bloggers going to be nice? What am I going to wear? Am I going to feel uncomfortable and in turn not be my silly, goofy self? (Side note...when I feel uncomfortable in any situation I get really quite and I'm not myself.)  With that being said, I don't know why I let myself worry about these things. God tells us not to worry, so how do I allow myself to get so nervous and consumed with those thoughts prior to a big event? Well, thankfully everything was better than I could of imagined and I literally enjoyed every second with my roomies, new friends, the brands, at the events and and with the RewardStyle team. This was not a normal weekend for this mom, that's for sure. With that being said, I felt so honored to be one of the 200 bloggers invited to rStheCon event.

rStheCon is a conference RewardStyle host once a year. It's an invite only conference. You get to learn alot of info about blogging, networking, meet with some of the biggest brands like Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters, Express, Kendra Scott, Sole Society etc and meet other bloggers from around the world.

The conference started Thursday at 2 at the Crescent Hotel in Dallas. I was excited it started so late  in the afternoon so I could take my son to school (since usually his daycare takes him), surprise him for  lunch and then I made a quick stop by my husband's work to give him a kiss before the conference.

Thursday at 2 was the mixer. I checked in and my roomies and I headed to brand hall to meet the brands. I'm sure you saw on my instastory that the brand hall was booth after booth of brands.

5pm came quick and we kicked off the rooftop pool party hosted by SuperGoop at the Crescent Hotel.  It was SO fun mingling with all the other bloggers. One of my favorite things was finally meeting in person some of the girls I know through blogging. Also, it was so good seeing some of the bloggers I met back in September while I was in New York for fashion week. They ended the pool party with synchronize swimmers. Go big or go home, right!?! lol

Friday morning started off with some incredible speakers...from Amber Venz Box, then Aimee Song to Kendra Scott inspirational story. I loved when Kendra Scott said "NO" is merely a suggestion. Don't take NO for an answer...let it push and help drive you to what you want. Also, "NO" backwards means "ON." These women are truly amazing and the real Girlboss.

Then the race to change for the cocktail event Express hosted. The space was gorgeous with a seating area I felt like you would see at Coachella,  mannequins with Express clothes on, and even a 3D photo booth. After the event me and 10 other girls headed to MiCocina in uptown for dinner.

Saturday started off with classroom sessions and we headed to Marie Gabrielle for a french garden lunch. It rained so the event was moved inside. Forget raining on our parade, we definitely made the most of the cutest luncheon.

That evening was the BIG LikeToKnow.it cocktail event at the Dallas Arboretum. This was AMAZING!!! There were photo booths, a saxophone performance, a dance off with guys in robot costumes and everyone danced the night away. This was seriously unreal! And anytime mama gets to get down, I'm in! Such a perfect way to end an amazing weekend!
